Steven Khov
Steven is one of the founding directors of Khov Jones. He is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors. He has been active in the insolvency industry over the years and has had over 1,200 formal insolvency appointments to date and has a specialist interest in governance.
His vast experience compliments his ability to deliver a robust strategy and commercial outcome when dealing with insolvent companies as a liquidator or receiver. His extensive commercial experience in the insolvency industry allows him to effectively articulate a solution to achieve a result. Having dealt with various industries as an insolvency practitioner, Steven has the ability to adapt to fast-paced and often dynamic environments. Applying this experience whilst developing strategic options and considering different alternatives is invaluable in business.
Having experience in a business turnaround he has been personally involved with, Steven experienced first hand in dealing with a restructuring assignment where he has ‘skin in the game’ so to speak. After going through significant changes which included strategic redevelopment, process improvements and performance analysis, the business traded profitably.
His skills and training in accounting and commercial law often come into use on a day to day basis. This combined with the ability to accurately understand and navigate complex financial records or legal documents is particularly advantageous in achieving a successful result. Steven has also been involved as a liquidator with a number of high profile and at times, precedent setting legal cases in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court in New Zealand.
Outside of the office, Steven enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He tries to get out to enjoy a spot of fishing and hunting when he can as well as an action movie or a juicy steak off the BBQ in his downtime.
